Article 1 (Purpose and Three Rights of Labor)
This union is established for the purpose of appropriately expressing, as an organization, matters that are difficult for workers to voice as individuals, or matters that tend to be ignored or subjected to unjust pressure due to power dynamics when voiced by individuals, thereby contributing to the improvement of working conditions and the work environment, as well as the safeguarding of workers' dignity. This union exercises the three labor rights guaranteed by the Constitution—namely, the right of workers to organize, the right to bargain collectively, and the right to act collectively—with moderation and sincerity, and contributes to the formation of a sound workplace order and a fair society.
Article 2 (Status of the Association and Online Activities)
While operating as a substantive labor union, this union places the primary venue of its activities on the Web, and uses the website and other online means operated by this union to express the opinions and requests of union members, share information, recruit participants, and visualize its intentions as an organization. However, this union is not limited to activities on the Web, and may conduct activities in the real world as necessary.
Article 3 (Definitions and Distinctions)
In these Terms, "the Union" refers to Minna no Union, which possesses the substance of a labor union. In addition, "the Site" refers to the website operated by the Union as the primary venue for its activities and the online mechanisms ancillary thereto. While the Union and the Site are operated based on the same philosophy, the Site is a means for the Union's activities, and the Union itself and the displays and functions on the Site should be understood as distinct.
Article 4 (Partners, Anonymous Participation, and Identification of Partners)
Members of our union shall be workers who agree to these Terms and Conditions and the participation conditions separately stipulated on this site, and who have completed the membership procedures by the prescribed method. Our union permits anonymous participation by members and does not require the disclosure of real names as a condition of membership. The identity of a member shall be managed by the email address received by our union, and said member shall be identified by that email address. While supporting the purpose of our union, members may freely choose their degree of participation and method of involvement, and our union shall respect this.
Article 5 (Union Dues, Freedom of Activity, Prohibition of Coercion)
Our union does not collect union dues. We do not coerce union members into participating in meetings, posting content, signing petitions, spreading information, participating in negotiations, engaging in specific actions, or conducting any other union activities. However, for the purpose of facilitating activities, our union may contact members with questionnaires, announcements, notices, calls for participation, and similar communications; responses to these and participation in them are entirely voluntary.
Article 6 (Structure as Member Organizations and Federations)
This union is a federation that recognizes organizations that have completed the union establishment procedure through this site as affiliated organizations of this union (hereinafter referred to as "participating unions"), and operates under these Terms. Participating unions shall operate as a form of activity of this union in accordance with the philosophy of this union and these Terms. The name of a participating union may be determined by its founder.
Article 7 (Method of Establishing Participating Unions)
The establishment of a participating union shall be carried out through the prescribed application procedure on this site. The applicant shall submit the application after agreeing to become a member of this association and confirming compliance with the philosophy of this association and these Terms of Service. The secretariat shall generate a page for the participating union on this site and provide said page as a venue for the activities of this association.
Article 8 (Joining and Withdrawal)
Joining and withdrawing from the cooperative shall be done by the prescribed method on this site. Withdrawal can be made at any time of the member's own free will, and the cooperative will not require the disclosure of the reason for withdrawal. In addition, withdrawal does not automatically cancel posts, statements, requests, disclosures, or other actions taken as a member prior to the withdrawal. The handling of corrections, deletions, etc., of already published content shall comply with Article 11 and the procedures separately specified on this site.
Article 9 (Activities)
Our union and participating unions primarily conduct activities on the web, such as expressing opinions and requests regarding working conditions and the workplace environment, publishing articles, statements, and demands, sharing information, and recruiting participants. In addition, when necessary, we may conduct activities in the real world, such as making requests, providing explanations, engaging in dialogue, raising awareness, and other related activities.
Article 10 (Basic Policy for Posting and Publication, Public Interest and Appropriateness)
Our union's activities are not intended to unjustly attack specific individuals or infringe upon rights such as defamation. While acknowledging that expression and activities carried out for the purpose of demanding improvements to working conditions and the work environment as a labor union may be recognized as having public nature and public interest, our union does not guarantee that individual posts or expressions will immediately be deemed legal. Union members shall comply with distinguishing facts and opinions as much as possible, avoiding unsubstantiated assertions, avoiding the inclusion of information that could identify individuals, and refraining from slander, discrimination, intimidation, or other inappropriate expressions, and shall post and express themselves at their own risk.
Article 11 (Contributor's Responsibility, Request for Correction/Deletion)
Posts and statements published on this site are, in principle, the responsibility of the poster. Posters shall endeavor to ensure the truth and validity of their content and, if an error is found, shall promptly request a correction. If a poster requests deletion, making private, correction, or the like, or if a third party makes a claim of copyright infringement or other complaints, the secretariat may take actions such as confirming the circumstances, correcting, deleting, or making private the content in accordance with the rules of this site. Furthermore, previously published content will not necessarily be deleted solely on the grounds of withdrawal from membership.
Article 12 (Role of the Secretariat and Non-Decision-Making)
The association shall establish a secretariat. The secretariat shall handle the operation of this site, the generation of participating union pages, the reception and posting of submissions, formal adjustments (such as anonymization, redaction, formatting, and correction of typos and omissions), and other administrative tasks. The secretariat shall not make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of arguments in submissions, political or ideological evaluations, or policy determinations, nor shall it be the author of the submissions. As a general rule, substantive judgments and responsibilities regarding the content of submissions belong to the submitter.
Article 13 (Action in Cases of Suspected Clear Violations)
The cooperative does not unreasonably deny activities based on the members' own responsibility. On the other hand, if there is a high possibility that posted content clearly violates these Terms, or if there is a high risk of copyright infringement, legal violations, or serious trouble, the secretariat may request confirmation from the poster and, as necessary, take measures such as withholding publication, restricting access, temporarily hiding the content, or requesting adjustments to the expression.
Article 14 (Modification of Terms)
The Cooperative may amend these Terms and Conditions for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the Cooperative and ensuring the proper operation of this website. In such cases, the revised Terms and Conditions shall be published on this website and shall apply from the date of publication.
Article 15 (Enforcement)
These Terms of Service shall come into effect on February 11, 2026.
