Purpose of establishment
The L.E.O.VE Union is established so that we, who provide visiting nursing and rehabilitation services in homes and facilities, can work safely and for a long time, and protect the daily lives of the users right in front of us.
While visit-based work requires a high degree of individual judgment and responsibility, it cannot succeed without the support of a team. The union carefully gathers frontline feedback to build a system that simultaneously improves the working environment and the quality of care.
And we aim to root our vision of "creating a town where people want to bring their parents" in our daily work with our own hands, spreading a standard of home healthcare that is trusted by the community.
Main activities
The L.E.O.VE Union is building a system to ensure that visiting work is "never done alone," starting with the voices of those of us on the front lines. We carefully gather and share the challenges that tend to arise in each station and job category, connecting them to improvements through dialogue. To ensure that small concerns and anxieties are not buried, we are establishing channels for opinions to be heard and building up concrete measures while making frontline conditions visible.
Additionally, to achieve a work style that does not rely on overwork, we will organize challenges tailored to the realities unique to home visits—such as uneven workloads, the burden of emergency responses, and the securing of rest—thereby supporting the creation of a system that enables continuous employment. By addressing risks such as safety during travel and at visit destinations, infection control, mental stress, and harassment, and by establishing preventive and supportive mechanisms, we will protect an environment where staff can head out to the field with peace of mind.
Furthermore, as initiatives to protect and elevate the quality of care, we are advancing the sharing of on-site knowledge, the creation of education and training systems, the improvement of documentation and handovers, and the strengthening of collaboration with related organizations. Putting the lives of those we serve at the center, we will learn together as a team and spread highly reproducible care to support a secure home life, including the times when we are not there. In addition, we will establish consultation channels where staff do not have to shoulder worries or anxieties alone, and, when necessary, walk alongside them through coordination with relevant parties and the prevention of recurrence, continuing to build a workplace where our colleagues are not isolated.
