Activities of the Co-Organizers of Co-Organized Center for Holistic Health (Givers Union)
For people who work hard for the sake of others, I want a workplace where they can take care of themselves.
I want to learn the techniques to interact with people's bodies. I want to be a source of strength for those in need. Through my work, I want to make someone's daily life a little better.
We don’t want to see them give up on the work they chose out of concerns for their lives and health. We want them to cherish both their passion for work and their own unique lives. Givers Union, the Mind Body Clinic, is a labor union that connects the voices of its members to achieve this goal.
Givers embodies the philosophy of “love” in their business philosophy, showing the idea of protecting what is important to them and to others. We believe that “important things” should include the physical and mental well-being of the employees themselves, time with their families, and hope for the future.
Because the job of giving something to someone else is meant to be reciprocal, it should not be one-sided loss of something. Just as we show compassion to our customers, we also expect each and every one of us at work to be respected and treated with consideration.
"Because it's the job I like," you don't solve the problem of how to work.
The Kokoro Holistic Health Clinic Group emphasizes human resource development, and on its recruitment website it introduces the educational system, from initial training upon employment to ongoing learning on the job.
We believe that only when both the opportunity to learn and the ability to learn with peace of mind are present can we ensure that our growth can be sustained for a long time.
How are training, practice, and meeting times handled? What standards are used to evaluate effort and skill? Are wages, holidays, and daily work hours manageable? Is respect for personal character shown in the coaching environment? These are issues that should not be solved by relying solely on the motivation of the individual.
There are different lifestyles for those who hone their skills, those who support the reception and operations, and for everyone else. Regardless of the speed of growth or family circumstances, we value the ability to work without losing our dignity.
So that we can put our sincerity to customers into practice on the ground.
The official website of Kokoro Taiso Clinic states that the goal is to lead a life that is not dependent on visits to the clinic, and that the policy is not to rush into contracts or impose them.
What is needed in the field to put that policy into practice in daily interactions and treatments?
We believe that customers deserve a time where we can provide the necessary explanations, an environment where they can ask questions, and a system that allows us to assess the quality of our work and the meticulousness of our responses, which cannot be captured by just the sales figures. When we have doubts about a work instruction, it is important not to simply follow it without asking questions and seeking reasons for improvement.
Connecting the work of employees to providing jobs that they are satisfied with and the customers choosing our services based on their satisfaction. Our activities have a social meaning in connecting these two things.
The role of a union is not just to gather complaints. It also listens to voices that are difficult to convey alone, organizes facts, and seeks clarification and improvements from the company. When necessary, it conducts consultations and collective bargaining, aiming for solutions that do not rely on individual patience.
We prioritize the wishes and privacy of the person seeking advice as a place where employees can speak out in their own words, separate from the company’s public relations or personnel evaluation system. When raising issues, we also verify the basis and do not attack individuals, but instead propose changes to work methods and the organization’s structure.
We do not exist to deny the growth of companies or the challenge of new technologies. We seek that growth to be accompanied by proper living conditions and a future for the people who work there.
I want people who are here to gain experience and those who are aiming to pursue this profession to be convinced that, while helping people, they can also cherish their own lives. I believe that this accumulation of experience will build trust in the work of massage therapy and chiropractic, and will also be valuable to customers and society as a whole.
We create a future where we feel good about choosing this job. The Givers Union of the Co-Counseling Clinic creates that aspiration as the starting point for our activities.
